Rolando was a cook for 17 years in New Orleans and had a passion for his work. At 40, he suffered a series of strokes that ended his career and made it difficult to raise his 3 kids. I just fit my first Icarus Kafo. I must say i was very impressed with the design, sleekness, and fit of the Kafo. My patient weighed just a little over 400lbs. The brace went on effortlessly and was easy to don and doff. The anterior Hercules model is the easiest to put on and take off, making it our go-to design for most patients. All the wearer needs to do is step into their shoe and attach the straps.

Weight: 30 ounces

Our posterior Hercules model is designed to prevent the tibia from moving forward as the patient is in gait. The AFO cups the calf to provide support to patients with fused ankle issues as well.

Weight: 26 ounces

My patient had not walked in 8 months, but was able to take her first steps with the Hercules Kafo!

Brace Coverage

Warranty Information

The Hercules KAFO is covered for one year on the frame, tensioning system, hinges, and AFO, with six months of coverage on pads and straps.
